MRIdian is the world’s first radiation therapy system to integrate a diagnostic-quality MRI with an advanced linear accelerator and the only system with MR-guided, real-time, 3D, multiplanar soft tissue tracking and automated beam control.1,2
THE MRIdian DIFFERENCE
- Superior tissue visualization compared to CBCT to enable precise contouring and reduced margins.3
- Integrated, on-table adaptive workflow that allows complete re-optimization of the daily treatment plan.
- MRIdian A3i offers real-time, 3D tissue tracking and automated beam control without the need for implanted markers.

DIAGNOSTIC-QUALITY MRI IMAGING
MRIdian is the world’s first system to integrate a diagnostic-quality MRI with an advanced linear accelerator. MRIdian delivers high-definition, diagnostic-quality imaging designed specifically to maintain high-fidelity beam delivery while virtually eliminating the risks of skin toxicities, trapped or distorted dose, that may occur when high magnetic fields interact with radiation beams.

SHAPE: SmartADAPTTM
PRECISE ANDPERSONALIZED
Patient anatomy changes from day to day, resulting in significant changes in the position, shape, and size of the tumor and surrounding healthy tissue between treatments. MRIdian acquires a new on-table, MRI scan in seconds, precisely adapts the plan, and personalizes the dose delivery to fit the patient’s anatomy that day.
STRIKE: SmartTARGETTM
THE MRI CONTROLS THE BEAM
When tumors or nearby critical structures abruptly change
position, MRIdian’s real-time 3D tissue tracking and automated radiation beam
control instantly reacts, automatically turning the radiation beam off,
providing confidence that prescribed doses reach the target while avoiding
critical structures. Likewise, when the tumor returns to the correct position,
the radiation beam is automatically turned back on.

SmartSITETM
SAVE TIME SAVE SPACE
MRIdian’s SmartSITE design allows it to fit within almost any existing standard LINAC vault and shielding configuration, avoiding prolonged installation schedules and additional costs necessary to build custom, large-scale vaults. MRIdian components are also able to fit through conventional vault doorways, so there is no need to remove walls, raise ceilings, or dig trenches, eliminating interruptions and delays.
